4th of July Weekend

Brooks is wondering if he's got "man boobs" yet...not quite Brooks.

Madi loves the water!

Fun at the Buhl pool on the 3rd...can't really see much!

Paisley the ham!

Uncle Tim sitting the girls

Two of the cutest girls I know!

I know I have been slacking in my blogging, but I don’t have the internet at my house and I also have a camera that is broke…so I actually am doing well considering the circumstances I have. Anyway, these are some cute pictures from our 4th of July weekend with my family. It was nice and relaxing. My mom, dad, Aunt Jackie (my dad’s sister in-law) all ran in the Buhl fun run to kick it off. Cory and my brother Cody did flags with the scouts. Then we all watched the one and only great famous Buhl, Idaho parade…one of a kind!! Then we headed to my grandparents and ate lunch with my dad’s family. Then all the old folks took naps (Tim, mom, dad, grandpa, and the aunts and uncles…except for Mark and Jackie). Then we headed home and watched fireworks put on by Jerome on our lawn. All and all we had a great time.

Quick Update

Well, Cory and I are finally moving into our own house tomorrow (the first time since we’ve been married-2 ½ years). We have been removing wallpaper and painting this whole last week since Saturday (with the help of both our wonderful families)! I just thought I would quickly give you an update with some random pictures I have happened to taken the last couple of weeks. Like Andrea’s blog says my mom is amazing and took on running a marathon! She is awesome! Tim and Andrea were both here to support her, so that was fun. Cory is working for 4 seasons (tree removing company) with his brother Ryan right now. Madi has been eating more and more (peas, sweet potatoes and bananas-with cereal-oh and popsicles from grandma davis)…she always wants whatever I’m eating, which today for lunch was a cheese stick (as you can see above). I may be slow at blogging for the next little while, as we won’t have the internet at our new place. Oh and good news Cory and I received jobs here in Jerome. Cory is going to be at the Middle School teaching health and I will be teaching 5th grade (so basically we’ll feel rich when we get our first pay checks!). I will cry when I have to leave Madi! She is so much fun and just loves to smile.

Night Night!

Last night Uncle Cody took Madi and put her in bed with him. It looked very cute because they were both hiding underneath the covers (more like she was chewing on them). We call Uncle Cody Madi’s boyfriend because she just loves him.
Yum...not bad!

What we weren't doing anything!

Does that smile look a little mischievous??

Happy 25th!

Today is Cory’s 25th Birthday! We celebrated last night with my family and are going to celebrate with his family tonight. I told him he is half way to 50…how exciting right? He’s such an old man (just kidding), but still very good look-in! He is also very sweet—all he wanted from me for his birthday was a date with just the 2 of us. So my mom (and dad…really he did help…thanks we owe you!) watched Madi while went to lunch and a movie Saturday. We enjoyed it very much, and will have to do it again soon. I also included some recent pictures of Madi. She can sit up pretty well with some help…she tends to sway to the side a little bit. Madi loves to arch her back when she no longer wants to be in her bouncer seat or her bumbo. She is growing like a weed still and we still enjoy guessing at what she is thinking.

The yummy ice cream cake my mom made for Cory! (I like it more than Dairy Queen cakes!)

Our little baldy!

A little air jordan for you!

Update

Mmmm....these are pretty good...way better than that rice stuff.
I've been caught
If you can't tell she's arching her back to try and get away from it!

What's this stuff?

Ready to eat!

Great Grandma and Me (Great Grandpa was busy eating)
I know I’ve been slacking on my job of updating, so here are some pictures (I’m missing my Montana trip pictures because the scanner isn’t working and I only have original copies…no digital ones, but I will keep trying). Madison and I took a trip to Buhl last week to watch her dad’s track meet and to visit Great Grandpa and Grandma Davis (they just finished tax season!!).
Madison had her 4 month check up on Monday and her doctor said we could start her on rice cereal, so last night we did. She didn’t seem to like it too well. I was surprised because she loves to watch us eat! As for her doctor appointment…she’s pretty much a skinny minnie (She must take after Cory). For her height she went from the 74 percentile to the 96 percentile. For her weight she went from the 49 percentile to the 27 percentile. And of course her head is still about the same—7 percentile (that would also come from Cory). Last night Madison was also enjoying Grandma Davis’ entertainment…letting her sit in her sock basket and eat some socks. Madi pretty much loves to put everything in her mouth!

Super Hero

Check out the Hulk's new family!
Yesterday Cory was the Hulk for Jefferson Elementary Family night and Madi and I stopped by to take a picture with our Hunk! Check out those HUGE muscles...seriously they're real! (okay real stuffing that is). Our favorite part was helping him put green eyeshadow all over his face!

Boise

Over the weekend we headed up to Boise to visit family and watch the Jerome boys play at the state tournament. We had the pleasure to stay with my grandpa and grandma Hammerquist. This is the second time Madison has been able to visit them. She also met her great uncle David, uncle Tad and second cousins Reid and Cohen for the first time. She was very good and slept all the way there and back. We are planning to take her to Montana this coming weekend to visit Cory's family…so we hope to have more pictures later from that!

RSV Queens

First we found out that Madison’s cousin Paisley had RSV…then a few days later Madison started getting a cough. Well, it slowly got worse over the weekend and she started to get a runny nose, and then I called the doctor and they said to bring her in. So, I did and the doctor said he didn’t think she had RSV, but he wanted to have her tested for it. Well, sure enough she had it! So this last week Madison and I have pretty much been home bodies because the doctor said not to take her anywhere! So…it was nice because this last weekend Andrea and Paisley came to visit us and we had a wonderful time seeing them. These are some pictures of Madison today and also some of Madison, Paisley and Andrea when they came. Paisley seems to like Madison a little more now…she gives great hugs!
