Slave Driver

This is a very quick clip (because I didn't think to video it until we were almost done)...but every time I go to mop the floor by hand (with this floor it happens more than I want) the kids always want to help-- I love it!

Madi and Quinton dancing

So we have this singing (Christmas) mouse we got at a yard sale this summer for 25 cents (Their grandma Kathy had one of these and Madi just loved it...so that is why we bought it)...anyway now both children love it--and they really like to dance to its song. Totally worth the 25 cents!

A little more dancing...

Madi Reading to Quinton

I found Madi (pretend) reading to Quinton in his room--super cute! As you can see he is really listening and showing his sister so much love.

Fall Update

 Madi's first day of preschool!
She goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 2 hours in the morning. She really enjoys it.
 My first time canning (peaches)!
My lovely visiting teacher (Connie Sanders) offered to show me how to can peaches. We did just over 50 cans! It took most of the day--so nice of her to give up her Saturday!
Quinton got sick and also is getting in his 2 molars on top and did not feel well...so this is how he spent most of his time--laying around or screaming a lot!
A cute picture of Madi and her baby--that weighs a good 3 pounds!
I love that my kids play so well together--I hope that continues as they go through life.
Madi got sick after Quinton and she decided she wanted to lay in the living room on the floor--every once in a while she would get up and dance around (in that same spot) and then lay back down--you could tell she really wanted to play, but just didn't have energy to do much. Quinton desperately wanted her pedialyte drink--and he also loves being around her!
Found Quinton sleeping hard in his room--lost his pants (happens all the time when he is awake--skinny kid!) somehow...and wanted his feet in between the bars I guess.
Here are the pants at the opposite end of his bed.

Halloween 2012
Madi as a  cute bunch of grapes
Quinton and Madi before the trunk or treat at the church.
Quinton as a good looking monkey!
Cory thought Quinton looked a lot like a real monkey in this one (because of the look on his face).

The $15 wagon (in video form)

So I posted a picture of this lovely wagon earlier, but this was just from the end of August. Anyway I was pulling the kids and they were loving it so I decided to get a video...well as you can tell Madi thought we needed to go even faster...so I put the camera down...turned away from the kids (my back to them) so I could run faster...and started pulling--then the thought came to me you probably should go that fast while turning--well before I slowed down the wagon had tipped and needless to say I had 2 crying children--but that didn't last too long and they still like rides in the wagon! Yes I abuse my children in a fun way!

Dancing

So one night in the end of July we decided to take some time and just mess around with the kids. Well since our kids love to dance to music, that is what we ended up doing. Anyway these are Madi's sweet dance skills. We do the bucket head thing just to keep the memory of Cory when he was a little boy (he used to wear one around on his head like a hat).
I decided to join Madi in her dancing and as you can tell by her comment at the end--that she was tired of my dancing (she wanted to do something else I guess). You may also see where she gets her sweet dance skills! Cory says that I am a loser, but he did marry me.

Olympic swimming at our house

So I know the room is a mess, but that's just the way I (or we) am. Anyway the olympics had been starting or atleast the trials for it...and Cory decided to make some fun for Madi by practicing their olympic swimming in our bed---it was almost like swimming in a pool.

Whatever it takes...

So this is the next day on our way home from taking Cody to the MTC (more than 8 hours of total driving time in about a 24 hour time period)...and Quinton was tired of being in his carseat, so I was trying to find ways to entertain him--this worked for a while. I will do whatever it takes not to hear his high pitched scream he has!

Quinton eating a chip... (June)

So I saw a video one time of a child sleeping while eating an ice cream cone (of coure the were bigger than Quinton)...and thought to myself ya right! Well...on our way to take Cody to the MTC it happened to Quinton--he was so tired and hungry (I guess) that he needed both sleep and the chip. It was so funny.

Video of Madi from March

This video is way back in March, but so funny. Madi just picked up this book and got up on the chair above Cory and started singing away. She just made up her own words and tune. It lasted quite a while. I have 2 little videos of it. I am glad she loves music, but I'm afraid singing won't be in her career in the future.

The rest of June and May

Elmer came to visit at the end of May to help Cory with track
Quinton went right to Elmer and laid his head on him!
Cory wanted a new picture of the kids to put on his desk at school--the best I could get!
Madi found Cory's old hat from when he worked at the Fossil Beds in Hagerman--she was having a little too much fun!
 Such beautiful poses!

Paisley loves horses and she wanted to go for a little ride...so Madi of course did too.
She loved it! Thanks Uncle Brooks!

First sleepover at our house with Madi's cousin Skylar!
Skylar wanted her hair braided (she is asking the wrong person--I am horrible at doing hair!)--anway Madi of course needed hers done too. I tried the french braid, but I must have fat fingers or some type of uncoordination (if that's a word) when it comes to that stuff.
I got this pool from Wal-mart for the summer and the kids loved it--even when it didn't have water in it!
We went with my parents and Cody up to the South Hills for a day to go four wheeling--Madi has loved them ever since. By the way she had rode them all day and I went to put her in her carseat to go home and noticed her shoe (new shoes) looked funny--it was all misformed (melted)--so I asked her Madi was your foot hot when you were on the four wheeler--she said no...good thing she had some rubber in between!!

July and some of June

Madi and I playing with the camera!

Some say she is my twin!
 Quinton loves his popsicles.
He gets a little messy though :)

We went to Oregon this summer and this is about one of the only times I remember to use my camera!
Kath and the kids--we love our grandma!
Trying to get a good picture can sometimes take a lot of effort--Elmer and Kath's quick visit.

Below are pictures right before we went to drop my brother Cody off at the MTC for his mission.
 Cory, Cody and I
My siblings (Andrea, Tim, Me, Cody)
If you can't tell my mom and dad had both been crying :(
Cody and his favorite nieces and nephews--Madi and her fingers are just great!
Cody and Quinton--he just loved his uncle--sad that he probably won't remember that when he gets back :(

We went to the Hogle Zoo the day before Cody left.
 Madi and Pais'
Pais' , Andrea and Madi---I believe Madi has her chees grin on!

August 2012

I know I am doing these posts backwards, but it still works! These pictures below are from August this year.
It was quiet--so I checked on the kids--they were in the wagon just playing!
Above is Madi pulling Quinton in the wagon--this entertainment can last a good amount of time--Cory told me the wagon was a waste of $15 (yardsale!), but I'm tellin you it has been well worth it!

This next group of pictures is from Bear Lake (Davis Family Reunion)
 Mom--always cute!
 Sadie and Quinton
Cory doin what he loves most about any beach--building a sandcastle!
Quinton just loved the beach--he loves dirt, so sand is just as good for him!
 Hot thang!  Cleanin up.
This is the only picture I have of this cute couple!
 Paisley and her favorite aunt!
 Madi talking Tim's ear off.

Hmmm let's think what Madi might be getting into (candy??)
 Love this face!

Madi's swimming lessons
 Motor boat, Motor boat!
Madi after the lifeguard walked her out on the diving board--she was a chicken...and I know she gets that from Cory. He does not like heights.

More pictures and hopefully videos tomorrow--it's too late!
